Privacy Policy

Introduction

This policy explains what CULY("CULY", "we", "us") collects when you use our platform for building, running, and sharing AI tools ("culies"), and how we use and protect it. By using CULY you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account: your email, and (depending on how you sign in) your name and avatar from Google/GitHub. Authentication is handled by Better Auth.
  • Your content: the culies you create and the prompts, inputs, and files (e.g. photos for image culies) you submit to run them, plus your run history.
  • Payments: processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number; we keep records such as your Stripe customer ID, orders, subscription status, and credit balance.
  • Usage & technical data: runs, credits spent, IP address, and basic device/browser info, used for billing, security, rate‑limiting, and to keep the service working.
  • Cookies & local storage: see the Cookies section below.

How we use your information

  • run your culies and deliver the service;
  • bill credits and manage subscriptions;
  • secure the platform, prevent abuse, and enforce limits;
  • send you transactional emails (sign‑in codes, magic links, password resets, receipts);
  • understand usage and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

To run a culy, the prompt, your inputs, and any uploaded files are sent to third‑party AI providers (including OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate the output. That processing is subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies. Only send content you're comfortable processing this way.

Service providers we share data with

We share data only with providers that help us operate CULY, including:

  • Stripe — payments & subscriptions;
  • Resend — transactional email;
  • Cloudflare — infrastructure & file storage (R2);
  • Vercel and our compute servers — hosting & the run engine;
  • a managed PostgreSQL database — storing accounts, culies, and records;
  • OpenAI / Anthropic — running the AI models;
  • optionally PostHog (product analytics) and Sentry (error monitoring), if enabled.

Data stored in your browser

For speed and convenience we keep some data in your browser's local storage — for example your recent output history per culy and cached page data. This stays on your device, is not sent to our servers, and you can clear it any time via your browser or the in‑app "Clear" controls.

Retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can view and edit your name and avatar in Account settings, and delete your account at any time — which removes your account, culies, and remaining credits. We may retain limited records (e.g. payment history) where required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your personal information. To exercise them, contact us at support@culy.ai.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies (authentication/session, and — if enabled — your cookie‑consent choice) are required for the site to work. Optional analytics cookies (via PostHog, if enabled) help us understand usage and are only used with your consent where required.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data (e.g. encrypted connections, access controls, tokenised payments via Stripe). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

CULY is not intended for children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.
